2020 Results: Jay Uso, Tommaso Chiampa, Timothy Thatcher, Payton Royce, Naya Jax and Shayna Buszler
The beginning of the year, in fact, like its end, Jay Uso spent with Roman Raines. The first broadcasts of SmackDown, he participated in the feud of Roman Raines against King Corbin, after which he began to fight for team titles with Jimmy. Jay took part in a big team match at the Elimination Chamber and was supposed to fight at WrestleMania, but as the coronavirus pandemic made its changes, Uso skipped Wrestlemania, and later at SmackDown took part in a three-way match for the team titles, where Big E brought another championship title in the piggy bank of the New Day. After that, the Uso brothers left the screens due to the injury of Jimmy Uso and Jay made his return to the screens as a solo artist in September. On the SmackDown broadcast on September 4, he won the match for the first claim and went to fight in the title match against Roman Reigns at Clash Of Champions 2020. The plot of the cousins was based on the fact that Roman Reigns called himself the head of their family and asked him to kneel, and Jay Uso to the latter resisted and did not want to recognize Roman Raines as his leader. After losing at Clash Of Champions 2020, he received another title chance at Hell In A Cell 2020, but lost there too, after which he recognized Raines as his leader and went over to his side. Working for SmackDown at the end of the year, he managed to win matches against AJ Styles, Daniel Brian and Kevin Owens, although he lost to them too. Jay Uso ends his year as the six Roman Raines. Bottom line: Jay Uso shot sharply as a solo star, but also sharply and faded towards the end of the year. The program against Roman Raines was really great. They showed two great matches, they showed history. It was a real wrestling classic, but you won’t be full of two matches and one plot. Jay Uso is a great background character, especially if Roman Raines is in front. I liked this experiment, but he feels much better as a team player. No matter how good his feud against Roman Raines was, this year will not even be close for him against the background of the Uso brothers in 2017. Jay needs to reunite with Jimmy and still move in the role of a team.
